After installing the latest MAC operating system update 10.9.5, you are unable to type in any program (Design Manager) using Citrix. The keyboard appears to no longer work.

This latest MAC update has an issue with the keyboard focus. To fix this, you will need to switch the keyboard focus to the OSX Desktop and then back to the Citrix Viewer/Receiver.
In a Citrix session, keyboard is unresponsive from Receiver for Mac with OSX 10.9.5. Solution This issue is resolved by installing Receiver for Mac 11.9 or later. Important update about Citrix Receiver Beginning August 2018, Citrix Receiver will be replaced by Citrix Workspace app. While you can still download older versions of Citrix Receiver, new features and enhancements will be released for Citrix Workspace app.
To change the focus to the OSX desktop:
Press the CMD + TAB buttons on the keyboard at the same time.
Then, using your mouse, click on the active Citrix Viewer in the dock.
You should now be able to type again in your Citrix program (Design Manager).
